Thanks to technology DJs have a wide range of options when choosing DJ gear to use for mixing music- controllers, software, CDJs, and even turntables. Right now, we’re featuring various DJ controllers, speakers, wireless mics, headphones, and DJ accessories in our reviews. We will add information about more gear soon.
DJ Controllers are hardware that connect to your computer and basically allow you to play and mix music that is on your computer. Controllers can cost anywhere from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars.
If you have small budget, you might be interested in a low-cost controller. Many DJs have more than one controller – usually one is used for most gigs and others re used as a backup. You can rock a party with a small controller or a big controller. Your clients won’t care, they just want to have fun.
Another way of making that very important point – Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to bring the fun. Don’t pay attention to other DJs who say that you’re not a real DJ because you’re not using turntables or some fancy expensive equipment. You are not performing for other DJs. You are performing for the people who hire you and the crowds at your events. Make sure they are happy with your professionalism and your performance.
It’s like going on date. Dates should be fun. You can spend a little or you can spend a lot. As long as your date is having a good time you’re good.
